One year to the day since our last news bulletin, We have news that Myles is in studio with Irish producer Ken McHugh ironing out the final touches in Juno Falls eagerly awaited debut album for the UK label V2 Music.
"I'm finally driving home with the first mixes" says the delighted frontman. "After almost a year of recording we've decided on finishing 16 tracks, and out of the 16 we still have to pick a final 10 for the album. Making that decision will be tough".
When we asked what he has been doing this year..
" It's been a long year of recording. My year has been spent in many different studios in London, Dublin and the States. I've had the oppertunity to record in Nashville USA, celebrate 4th of July and eat twinky bars"." I've met some amazing people, some very influential people, and some heroes. I've been locked in a studio in leafy Glenealy in Co.Wicklow with Ken McHugh who has produced the album. There were as many as 40 rough songs in the beginning and its taken a while to go through them all. My Label have been very supportive in making sure this record represtents me and Juno Falls 100% and luckily I've been afforded the time to get it right".
Juno Falls have signed a worldwide record deal with Richard Bransons prestigeous International record label V2 music. The follow up to the debut
album 'Starlight Drive', is due to be recorded and released in 2006.
Other V2 artists include Aimee Man, Bloc party, Dave Mathews band, Deus, Elbow, Grandaddy, Paul Weller, Powderfinger, Stina Nordenstam,
Stereophonics and many more, aswell as fellow Irish
artist Declan O' Rourke.
